Laurent Aubouy has extensive work experience in research and development. Laurent started their career in 1999 as a Research Technician at Rhodia Chimie. Laurent then worked as an R&D Technician at Laboratoires STANDA S.A. in 2001 and at Servier in 2002. In the same year, they joined CNRS as an Engineer, focusing on the development of new organic semiconductors for OLED applications. Laurent then became an Expert at the European Commission in 2006. Currently, they hold the position of Director of R&D at LEITAT Technological Center, where they manage a multidisciplinary team of more than 140 researchers and technicians. Laurent'steam is involved in various research areas, including materials sciences, biomedicine, and renewable energy. Laurent's expertise is demonstrated through their involvement in numerous industrial contracts and public funded projects.
Laurent Aubouy earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Montpellier between 2002 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering from ENSICAEN - Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Caen from 1999 to 2002, and a Technician Superior degree in Chemistry from IUT MONTPELLIER-SETE from 1997 to 1999. In addition, they completed a DEA in Chemistry at Université de Caen Normandie in 2002. Later, in 2015 to 2017, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from EUNCET.
