Matthew Sulley started their work experience in 1991 as a reporter for The Hinckley Times. Matthew worked their way up to become the Deputy Editor, gaining valuable skills in news gathering, story identification, writing, desktop publishing, and newsroom management. In 1996, they joined Leicester Mercury as the Chief Subeditor. The duration of their role at Leicester Mercury is not provided.
