Jonathan Cooper has an extensive background in veteran services, currently serving as District 3 Commander and Assistant State Adjutant for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Department of Illinois while holding various leadership roles within the organization. Cooper is also a Chapter President for multiple honor societies, including The National Society of Leadership and Success and Tau Sigma National Honor Society. In addition to civic involvement as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the Village of Hazel Crest, Cooper holds positions with the American Legion, U.S. Army Soldier For Life, and Veterans for the Ocean, focusing on veteran eligibility verification. Educational accomplishments include an Associate of Applied Science in Law Enforcement and an Associate of Liberal Studies in Political Science and Government from Morton College, along with ongoing studies for a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History at Governors State University.
