John Tan is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in health law and community advocacy. Currently serving as Program Manager and Managing Attorney at Legal Services of Northern California since June 2011, John oversees a team of nine and coordinates 40 Medicare volunteer counselors across a nine-county region. John has also held the position of Staff Attorney at LSNC Health, providing expert advice on Medi-Cal, Medicare, and health coverage issues. In addition, John lectures and mentors first-year law students as a Lawyering Process Lab Instructor at UC Davis School of Law. Educational credentials include a JD from UC Davis School of Law, an MA in Asian American Studies, and an MPH in Community Health Sciences, all complemented by a BA from the University of Southern California.
