Ayana Powell serves as the Data and Compliance Officer at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. since September 2022, where responsibilities include producing reports and analyzing data for funder and grant reporting. Previous roles at Legal Services of Greater Miami included a Legal Specialist in the Tenants’ Rights Unit, providing assistance to individuals facing eviction. Ayana co-founded Unity Therapy, LLC, focusing on community wellness, and held various legal support positions at Legal Services of North Florida. With a background that includes leadership roles in community empowerment and extensive legal experience, Ayana holds a Doctor of Law degree from St. Thomas University, alongside a Master’s in Legal Studies and a Bachelor’s in Humanities from Florida State University.
