Mohammed Rahat, MBA has a strong background in procurement and supply chain management. Starting in 1999, they worked for Bugle Boy Industries/Export Tower in merchandising and procurement planning for the global apparel industry. Mohammed then transitioned to Pet Valu, where they oversaw corporate inventory management and category management in the CPG retail industry.
Afterwards, Rahat worked at Lineman's Testing Laboratories of Canada, where they focused on purchasing and inventory management in the utilities and electrical services industry. Following this, they joined Simmons Foods as a procurement buyer in the CPG food manufacturing industry, where they tracked procurement plans, reviewed purchase orders, and sourced new vendors.
In 2016, Rahat joined United Natural Foods as a senior buyer in supply chain management for the food, healthcare, and personal care distribution industry. Here, they collaborated with cross-functional teams, audited supplier facilities, and performed detailed product reviews. Mohammed then worked at Virox Technologies Inc. as a materials management professional in the healthcare/pharma manufacturing industry, where they approved procurement plans, recommended optimal suppliers, and supervised staff.
In 2018, Rahat became a sourcing manager at The Hain Celestial Group in the CPG manufacturing and distribution industry. In this role, they managed the total supply chain process, implemented VMI, and reduced category costs. Mohammed then joined Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee as a materials management- procurement professional in the CPG industry, where they reduced inventory, managed vendor contracts, and sourced new vendors to boost product offerings and increase profit margins.
Rahat's most recent position was at HEXO Corp as a procurement manager, where they played a key role in sourcing and vetting potential suppliers, developing long-term supply strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve supplier nonconformance issues.
In 2022, Rahat joined Legal Aid Ontario as the Manager of Strategic Sourcing & Financial Management Policies, where they currently lead the strategic sourcing initiatives for the government of Ontario's Ministry of Attorney General.
Mohammed Rahat, MBA has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. Mohammed later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.
