Lana Strain has a work experience as a Lawyer at Legal Aid Ontario starting from September 2006. Prior to that, Lana was also self-employed as a Lawyer from March 1997 until September 2006.

Lana Strain attended WD Lowe Secondary from 1980 to 1985, but did not obtain a degree or specify any field of study. Lana later attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where they earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Lana also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at the University of Windsor, and subsequently studied at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
