Kate Eakman is a seasoned professional historian and genealogist with extensive experience in family history research, currently serving as a Senior Researcher at Legacy Tree Genealogists, Inc. since 2012. Kate has a diverse background that includes founding Heritage and Family, a subsidiary specializing in high-quality family history products, and has held various roles such as a Contact Representative for the Internal Revenue Service and a Crew Leader for the US Census Bureau. With a strong academic foundation, including an M.A. in Medieval History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kate has also imparted knowledge as an Associate Professor and Adjunct Instructor of History at several educational institutions, alongside substantial experience in emergency communications and academic advising.
