Benjamin Austin

Benjamin Austin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Benjamin started their career as President of the Golden Key International Honour Society at Macquarie University in 1999. Benjamin then worked as a Laser Systems Engineer at JDS Uniphase from 2000 to 2003. Benjamin went on to serve as a Laser Engineer Consultant at Independent Laser Consulting from January to October 2003.

In 2003, Benjamin joined BAT, where they held various roles over a span of 10 years. Benjamin started as a Management Associate, Operations, and then moved to the role of Product Assessment Manager, Quality. Benjamin later became the Master Scheduler, Integrated Planning, followed by the role of Demand & Distribution Manager, Planning & Logistics. Benjamin's last role at BAT was as APO, Scheduling & Operations Planning Lead, Project TaO.

In 2014, Benjamin joined Hill's Pet Nutrition as a Supply & Demand Planner for nine months. Benjamin then joined Lee Valley Tools in 2015, where they have held multiple roles. Benjamin started as a Buyer/Planner and later became a Senior Planner responsible for project managing S&OP implementation. Benjamin then served as a Strategic Supply Chain Analyst before transitioning to the role of Category Manager (Gardening) where they developed category strategies and managed budgets, contracts, compliance, and quality control. Currently, Benjamin holds the position of Supply Chain Manager at Lee Valley Tools.

Benjamin Austin's education history is as follows:

In 1995-1998, Benjamin attended Macquarie University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with the Diploma of Chemistry in Industry. Their field of study included Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry, as well as Business.

In 1999, Benjamin also attended Macquarie University and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry.

From 2005-2006, Benjamin attended Melbourne Business School and completed a Diploma of Business in Frontline Management.

In 2018, Benjamin attended Performance Management Consultants and received a Certificate in Leadership.

In addition to their formal education, Benjamin has obtained several certifications. Benjamin became a Prince2 Registered Practitioner through APMG-International in April 2012. In October 2009, Benjamin obtained the Certification in Inventory and Production Control and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS. In September 2006, Benjamin received Lead Auditor Training from SAI Global. Lastly, in October 2005, they obtained the OH&S General Induction for Construction Work in NSW from WorkCover NSW.
