Emma Gordon has extensive work experience in the fields of marketing, communications, copywriting, public relations, and journalism. Emma is currently the Head of Marketing and Communications at Ledingham Chalmers LLP since April 2021. Prior to this, Emma owned their own copywriting business called Bydand Copywriting since May 2014. From January 2009 to May 2014, they worked as the Head of PR at Fifth Ring. Before that, Emma was an Account Director at Mearns and Gill from 2007 to 2008. Emma also served as the Head of Communications Branch at the Food Standards Agency Scotland from June 2003 to September 2007. Emma gained experience as an Account Manager at Shandwick International from June 2000 to June 2003. Emma'scareer began as a Reporter, where they worked for companies like the Press and Journal and Glamorgan Gem in 1998.

Emma Gordon attended Westhill Academy from 1987 to 1989, and then went on to attend Aberdeen Grammar School from 1989 to 1993. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at the University of Glasgow from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a degree in Philosophy and earned their MA (hons). Following their time at the University of Glasgow, Emma attended Cornwall College from 1997 to 1998, where they studied Journalism and obtained their NCTJ certification.
