Paul Velekei has worked for a number of companies since 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they worked for UBS Investment Bank in a role titled "UBS". From 2009 to 2015, they worked for RBC Capital Markets in a role titled "RBC - Global Arbitrage and Trading". From 2015 to 2018, they worked for Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers in a role titled "Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers". From 2018 to 2020, they worked for Verition Fund Management LLC in a role titled "Verition Fund Management". Since 2020, they have been working for Princeton Mortgage in a role titled "Princeton Mortgage". As of 2022, they are the Chief Operating Officer for Ledgebrook.

Paul Velekei attended Blair Academy for their secondary education. Paul then went on to the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Mathematics and minors in Economics and Chinese. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Yale School of Management.
