Fernando Gutierrez Hernandez has been working in the field of education for over 10 years. Fernando started their career as a special education teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Fernando then moved to the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District, where they served as a special education teacher and caseload manager for 12 diverse grade school learners with behavioral and cognitive needs. In August 2013, they joined the Milwaukee Public Schools as a special education teacher. Fernando was responsible for designing and implementing the inclusion model for diverse learners and co-teaching for 4-8th grades. Fernando also developed the RTI model for academic and socio-emotional services for diverse learners K-8th grades. In January 2015, they left Milwaukee Public Schools to join STRUT Learning as the Curricula & Assessments Manager.
Fernando Gutierrez Hernandez has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Master's Degree in Special Education and Teaching from Loyola Marymount University, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an Associate's Degree in Psychology from West Los Angeles College. Fernando is also certified by the Illinois State Board of Education in PEL-Professional Educator License and LBS 1-Learning Behavior Specialist.
