Roy Weinberger is an accomplished music educator and performer with extensive experience spanning various roles in music instruction and performance. Currently serving as a Band Conductor and teacher at LEAP since October 2016, Roy also has experience as an Orff Ensemble/General Music Teacher at MUSE Academy and as a Substitute Teacher with the NYC Department of Education, focusing on music and theater. Previous roles include teaching music theory and instrumental instruction at Education Through Music and facilitating community-building through music at Social Responsive Music. A former Teaching Artist at MIMA MUSIC, Roy has worked with bilingual high school students on musical composition. As a performer, Roy has collaborated with nationally recognized artists across multiple genres and venues. Educational qualifications include degrees in Music Performance and Mathematical Science from Binghamton University, as well as certificates in Music Pedagogy - Orff at Hofstra University.
