Vedna Heywood currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Trustee for the League of Women Voters since June 2022 and has been an elected School Board Member for Plymouth Public Schools since May 2018. In the healthcare field, Vedna has extensive experience as a Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Nurse, currently at Brigham and Women's Hospital since May 2008, and previously at Broward Health from April 2002 to March 2008. Vedna is pursuing a Master of Science in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Simmons University, with expected completion in May 2025, and holds a Registered Nursing degree from Broward College and attended Florida Atlantic University.
