Nick Batora has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology. Nick started their career as a Laboratory Technician at Michigan State University, where they contributed to research on the genetic basis of adaptation in Arabidopsis thaliana. Later, they joined the University of Georgia as a Graduate Student, working on Purple Passionflower under the guidance of Dr. Rodney Mauricio and Dr. Arthur Edison. Currently, Nick is the Managing Director at LeafWorks Inc., where they utilize basic research principals to develop biotechnological products and services, organizes research and product development strategies, and sets goals, timelines, and budgets.
Nick Batora has a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany/Plant Biology from Michigan State University. Nick also has another Bachelor of Science degree from the same university, with a focus on Genomics and Molecular Genetics. Additionally, Nick has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Genetics from The University of Georgia. Nick obtained this degree from the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Georgia.
