Steve Jenkins has held a variety of roles in the education sector since 1998. Steve began their career as an Alternative Dispute Resolution and Jury Consultant for Courtroom Intelligence. Steve then worked as a CEO for Conflict Solutions from 2001 to 2008. From 2008 to 2015, they served as a Retired Associate Professor for Lamar University and an Assistant Professor for the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Steve also worked as a Leadership Consultant for Port Arthur ISD, a Leadership Management Associate for Leadership Management International, Inc., and an Equity Consultant for Intercultural Development Research Association. In 2017, they joined the board of directors for Education First FCU and Communities in School Southeast Texas, where they currently serve as President.
Steve Jenkins received their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Baylor University between 2000 and 2002. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Science and Master's work in Foundations of Education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville between 1967 and 1971, with a major in Sociology, Political Science, History and Anthropology (two majors and two minors). Steve also attended McCluer High.
