Heidy Mejia-Puerta currently serves as a Program Manager at the University of Washington Bothell since January 2024. Previously, Heidy has held various roles at the Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America since June 2017, including Scholar, Career Fellow, and Policy Corp Member, focusing on equity and inclusion in higher education while keeping abreast of policy developments such as the Higher Education Act. At Brown University, from August 2019 to September 2022, Heidy was the Strategic Initiatives Student Coordinator, responsible for the consolidation and revamp of major programming series and the creation of mission statements. Additionally, as the Undergraduate Community Engagement Coordinator, Heidy organized programming to support undergraduate student needs. In 2022, Heidy served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Leadership Institute, supporting high school students in their academic pursuits. Heidy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Brown University in December 2022.
