Nathan Koenig is a highly experienced professional in the field of robotics and software engineering, currently serving as Senior Manager of System Software at Laza Medical since January 2024. Previous roles include Engineer Software Manager at Intrinsic (January 2023 - December 2023) and Chief Technology Officer at Open Robotics (May 2012 - January 2023), where Nathan led the development of the Gazebo 3D robotics simulator. Nathan's background includes significant contributions as a Robotics Researcher at Willow Garage, developing the Gazebo project and working on human-robot interaction, along with various roles at iRobot, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Xerox, focusing on robotics, computer vision, and software development. Nathan holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, and a BS in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
