Jack Dey has worked as a Mechanical Engineer at LayerZero Power Systems since 2022 and Eastman since 2021. From 2020 to 2018, they worked at Arthrex in various roles. In 2020, they worked as a Project Manager Co-Op, where they worked with engineering, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and packaging to accurately represent timelines for Arthroplasty, Vet, Distal Extremities, and Arthroscopy projects, as well as worked on performance goal projects to help standardize risk processes. In 2019, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, where they served as the primary day-to-day engineering resource for the startup of suture production in a new facility, performed validations and verifications on $10 million worth of machining equipment for Phase 1 of Arthrex’s new manufacturing plant, trained five engineering techs on the validation processes of machining equipment, and attended weekly meetings to effectively communicate validation updates to upper management. In 2018, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, where they performed engineering studies with cleaning and passivation processes, performed a Gage R&R study, and designed a fixture in SolidWorks to test ultrasonic weld strength.
Jack Dey attended Cathedral Preparatory School & Villa Maria Academy from 2013 to 2016. Jack then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, which they completed in 2020.
