Rajat Wali has held various positions in the accounting and finance field since 2009. Rajat began their career as an Accounts Manager for the Michiganensian in 2009 and a Community Assistant for University of Michigan Housing in 2009. In 2010, they served as a Franchise Manager for College Pro Painters Ltd. Rajat then completed an internship as an Auditor at E&Y in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. From 2015 to 2019, they held two roles at CIFC Asset Management, first as Manager of Fund and Operating Company and then as Senior Financial Analyst. In 2019, they became Accounting Manager at Construction Supply Group. In 2020, they were promoted to Accounting Controller at True Link. Rajat currently serves as Director of Accounting and FP&A at LawnStarter.

Rajat Wali attended Dubai Modern High School from 2000 to 2008, where they obtained their high school degree. Rajat then attended the University of Michigan and Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Finance. Rajat also obtained a Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan during this time. Finally, they obtained a Master of Accounting from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 2012 to 2013. In addition, they hold a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder certification from the CFA Institute, obtained in May 2022, and a Certified Public Accountant certification from the State Board of Accountancy, obtained in March 2015.
