Heather Sutton-Lewis is an experienced attorney currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender for the Office of the Public Defender in the 20th Judicial Circuit since November 2014. Prior to this role, Heather worked as an attorney at Turner & Sutton-Lewis, P.A., handling various legal matters including appeals, criminal law, family law, and estate planning from January 2012 to November 2014. Heather's legal career also includes previous positions as an Assistant Public Defender with the Office of the Public Defender from September 2008 to January 2012, and as an Assistant Appellate Defender at the Office of the State Appellate Defender from January 2002 to August 2004. Additionally, Heather served as a Law Librarian at BPP Law School from April 2005 to June 2007. Heather holds a JD in Law from Cooley Law School (1998 - 2000) and a BA in Political Science from Kalamazoo College (1993 - 1996).
