Steve Smoot is a General Partner at Lavrock Ventures. Prior to joining Lavrock, Steve was a Board Member and Advisor at Authentag from June 2014 to December 2016. Steve was also a Founding Member at NextGen Venture Partners from January 2012 to December 2018, where they strived to be the most entrepreneur-friendly investors in the world. From March 2011 to October 2015, Steve served as Vice President at Blu Venture Investors, LLC, an early stage technology investors firm. Additionally, Steve worked as an Analyst at BB&T Capital Partners from January 2007 to July 2008 and was part of the Financial Management Program at GE Capital from January 2005 to January 2007.

Steve Smoot has an MBA from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business and a BS in Business Management (Finance) from Brigham Young University.
