Kamia Esquerra, M.S., LPC, currently serves as a therapist at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center since September 2023. With extensive experience in the field of mental health, Kamia previously worked as a Military Family Life Counselor at Leidos from April 2021 to September 2023 and at Magellan Behavioral Health from November 2017 to April 2021. Earlier roles include serving as Program Director and Center Director at Hope Pregnancy Centers, Inc., from 2013 to 2017 and 2010 to 2013, respectively, as well as Clinical Supervisor at Caring Family Network from October 2006 to July 2010, and Case Manager, Home Developer, and Supervisor at Child Placement Center from February 2001 to September 2006. Kamia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hampton University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Texas, along with additional education in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Texas A&M University - Central Texas.
