Eugene Sy is a seasoned engineering leader with over 15 years of progressive experience in technical leadership and team management. Currently serving as Sr Director of Embedded Software and Hardware Engineering at Latitude AI since February 2023, Eugene previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Argo AI, where management of the embedded firmware team and hands-on involvement in compute module bringup and debug were key responsibilities. Prior to that, Eugene worked at Qualcomm for nearly two decades, rising to VP of Engineering, overseeing a global team focused on physical layer firmware for wireless WAN modem technologies. Early career experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at 2Wire and DSP Engineer at 3Com. Eugene holds a Master’s degree in Scientific Computing from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis.
