RocÃo Medina van Nierop has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. RocÃo is currently the Cofounder & CEO at Latinas in Tech, a non-profit organization aiming to support and empower Latina women in the technology field. Prior to this, they served as the Chair of The Board of Directors at Latinas in Tech and as the Cofounder and Executive Director.
Before their work at Latinas in Tech, RocÃo worked at Prezi, where they held positions such as Director of Product Marketing and Director of Market Development. In these roles, they led product launches and marketing campaigns, managed P&L responsibilities for Latin America, Spain, and Portugal, and oversaw marketing, sales, support, and web teams in the region. RocÃo also participated in due diligence for the acquisition of Infogram and post-acquisition integration.
Earlier in their career, RocÃo worked at BetClic Everest Group as a Global Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager. RocÃo was responsible for expanding Everest Brands in Europe and the Americas, overseeing marketing and PR strategies, and managing a team of country managers and PR agencies.
RocÃo'sexperience also includes working at Publicis Groupe as a Sr. Account Executive, where they managed advertising campaigns for Mexicana Airlines in Mexico, South America, and Spain, and collaborated with clients to develop advertising strategies. RocÃo also worked at R. Treviño & Asoc. as an Account Executive, where they served as a liaison between clients and the advertising agency, managed various client accounts, and assisted in acquiring new clients.
RocÃo Medina van Nierop's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they completed from 1998 to 2003. In 2002, they briefly studied at EHESS - Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
Currently, RocÃo Medina van Nierop is participating in an Executive Education program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, with a focus on Business. RocÃo started this program in 2022 and is still continuing their studies.

Furthermore, they have acquired knowledge about the potential opportunities and challenges of expanding into the LATAM region through a certification from Deloitte in June 2014. Lastly, RocÃo Medina van Nierop holds a PADI Rescue Diver certification from PADI, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
