Freya Bauer's work experience began in 2014 when they worked as a Research and Administrative Assistant and also volunteered at the Green Party of Canada. Freya then served as a Research Assistant at Meal Exchange for a period of four months. In 2015, Freya became a Peer Tutor at the University of Ottawa's Peer Help Centre. The following year, they worked as a Director on the Board of Directors for The Fulcrum Publishing Society where they gained insight into non-profit operations. In 2016, Freya joined Shopify as a Customer Support Specialist and later took on the role of Researcher | Support, conducting qualitative and quantitative studies to improve product development. Freya also worked as a Blogger at Tea Campaign Canada for a few months. In 2021, Freya joined Later as a UX Researcher.
Freya Bauer's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Political Science from the University of Ottawa, which they obtained between the years 2011 and 2015. Following this, they pursued further studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2018 to 2019, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Social Research Methodology.
