Victor Vergara is an accomplished professional in supply chain management and procurement, currently serving as the Director of Technical Procurement at LATAM Airlines since September 2021, overseeing a fleet of over 300 aircraft and managing a team of 50 plus 40 BPO personnel. Previously, Victor led the supply chain and procurement operations at Antofagasta Minerals for the Los Pelambres Copper Mine, a prominent asset with significant annual EBIT and procurement expenditure, managing a team of 20 and 120 contractors. Prior roles include Global Procurement Manager for the LATAM region at Anglo American and various procurement positions at BHP, including strategic sourcing at the Escondida Copper Mine. Victor holds an MBA from ESE Business School Chile, a diploma in Supply Chain Management from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Arturo Prat.
