Suparna's tenure at Tata Steel from January 1999 to October 2007 involved overseeing synergy and business excellence initiatives, while earlier, a managerial role at Steel Authority of India Ltd from 1990 to 1998 focused on electrical maintenance and modernization efforts. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and multiple engineering degrees from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
