Jim Southworth is a seasoned animation and art lead with extensive experience in the video game industry. Currently serving as the Cinematic Animation Lead at Larian Studios since February 2021, Jim has significantly contributed to the development of Baldur's Gate 3. Prior roles include Art Lead at Turbulenz Limited, where collaboration with Larian Studios also focused on Baldur's Gate 3 during its early access phase, and Art Lead at Wonderstruck, overseeing the creation of the voxel MMORPG Boundless. Jim's career features a variety of positions, including Product Owner for The Deep at PlayStation London Studio, where involvement in virtual reality projects began, and art management for the EyePet franchise, notable for its pioneering augmented reality concepts. With a foundational degree in Graphic Design from Liverpool John Moores University, Jim's contributions include character and lead animation across multiple successful gaming projects.
