Yong Qin is a distinguished professor in the Cheung Kong Scholars Program at Lanzhou University, where tenure began in July 2004. Renowned for expertise in nanoenergy technology, functional nanodevices, and self-powered nanosystems, Yong Qin has also contributed as a lecturer focusing on magnetic materials, micromagnetic simulation, and shape control of nanoparticles. Prior experience includes serving as a visiting scholar and postdoctoral researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology from April 2007 to September 2009, emphasizing nanoenergy technology and energy harvesting. Yong Qin holds a Ph.D. in Material Physics and Chemistry and a BS in Material Physics, both from Lanzhou University, with the Ph.D. completed in 2004.
