Magdalena Gomez is currently serving as a Community Engagement Officer for the City of Somerville and an Intro to GIS Teaching Assistant at Tufts University. As a Spanish Interpreter for Language Connections and Rosetta Languages, Magdalena has extensive experience providing simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for events related to local policy and public health, working with various clients including the Cities of Somerville, Cambridge, and Boston. Previous roles include being a Summer Fellow at Boston Harbor Now, where analysis on climate change and equity in public spaces was conducted, a Homeless Prevention Fund Administrator at Somerville Homeless Coalition, and a Community Organizer focusing on housing issues at Community Action Agency of Somerville. Magdalena holds a Master of Arts from Tufts University and a degree in Sociology from Universidad Alberto Hurtado.
