Nikki Appleton has a diverse work experience, starting as a Production Assistant at an agency called england in 2002. Nikki then moved on to work as a Marketing Executive at Swan Hellenic Cruises from 2003 to 2006. Nikki continued their marketing career at Regent Seven Seas Cruises Ltd as a Marketing Executive from 2006 to 2008. Nikki then served as a Marketing Manager at Beaulieu Enterprises Ltd from 2008 to 2011. Nikki subsequently joined East Coast Mainline Company Ltd as an interim Leisure Marketing Manager from March 2011 to October 2011. Currently, they are working as a Marketing Manager at Land Securities, starting from November 2011.

Nikki Appleton obtained a 2:1 degree in English & History from Aberystwyth University, completing their studies from 1998 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a CIM Postgraduate Diploma in E-Marketing from the Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, earning the E-Marketing Award in the period of 2004 to 2006.
