Daniel Alemán Hernández has a diverse range of work experience. Daniel started their career at BINTER CANARIAS as a Flight Dispatcher and Flight Operations Assistant from June 2008 to April 2009. Daniel then worked at Santa LucÃa's Council as a Functional Analyst and Database Developer from July 2010 to February 2011. Following that, they worked as a System Analyst for the social media and marketing agency DOMâ„¢ from June 2011 to October 2011.
In 2012, Daniel joined Eurocontrol as an Information Systems Architect (Trainee), where they worked on the SESAR Project. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at IBM in various roles, including as a BI Software Support Engineer and a Big Data Support Engineer in the Watson Analytics team.
From 2016 to 2020, Daniel worked at GE Healthcare as a Data Scientist and Data Science Project Lead. During their time there, they applied deep analytics techniques and statistical modeling to solve business problems.
In 2021, Daniel decided to start their own consulting company called Smart Data. As an entrepreneur, they provided data modeling, pattern analysis, data visualization, and machine learning solutions to address their clients' needs.
In 2022, Daniel worked at MIT Professional Education as a Learning Facilitator in the Data Leadership program. Their role involved supporting program students in making relevant data accessible to decision-makers at every level of the organization.
Currently, Daniel is working at Landis+Gyr as a Machine Learning & Data Engineering Lead, starting in March 2023.
Daniel Alemán Hernández holds a Master's degree in International Business (MIB) from Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which they obtained from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Computer Science at the same university from 2005 to 2009. Daniel also obtained a Senior Technician degree in Information Systems Management from Technology Institute SP from 2003 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Daniel has obtained several certifications in the field of computer science and data analytics, including MLOps: Artificial Intelligence Development and Operations, Data Science and Big Data Analytics, Certified Data Scientist, Big Data Fundamentals Technical Professional v1, Certified IBM Solution Architect - Cloud Computing Infrastructure V1, Certified SOA Associate, Certified Database Associate - DB2 Fundamentals, Certified Developer - IBM Cognos 10 BI Metadata Models, and Certified Administrator - IBM Cognos 10 BI.
