Jerrill Maurice Adams has a diverse and extensive work experience in education. Their most recent role is as a Board Member at Horizons at Lancaster Country Day School, where they are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children in the community. Jerrill Maurice also serves as the Director of Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Community Engagement at Lancaster Country Day School, where they focus on creating an inclusive environment for everyone.

Prior to their current roles, Jerrill has held positions such as High School Principal at Colegio Panamericano, K-12 Instructional Coach at InterAmerican Academy, and K-12 Director of Curriculum at the American International School in Congo-Brazzaville. Jerrill Maurice has also served as the Principal of Maplewood Middle School in the South Orange & Maplewood School District.

Jerrill has extensive experience within the New York City education system. Jerrill Maurice has worked as a Senior Network Team Manager, Achievement Coach, and Instructional Initiatives & Talent Coach at the NYC Department of Education. Jerrill Maurice has also worked as a Curriculum and Implementation Manager at Achieve3000, where they supported schools in implementing literacy programs.

Jerrill began their teaching career in 2002 as a 5th grade teacher and Literacy Coach through the NYC Teaching Fellow program. Jerrill Maurice has also served as an Assistant Principal and CITE Principal Intern within the New York City Department of Education.

Throughout their career, Jerrill has demonstrated a passion for driving positive change, fostering inclusive environments, and prioritizing strong relationships and open dialogue within educational communities.

Jerrill Maurice Adams, MS.Ed, M.A. has a diverse education background. Jerrill Maurice completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Television-Radio at Ithaca College from 1997 to 2001. Jerrill Maurice then pursued their Master of Arts in Steinhardt School of Education - Speech Communication at New York University from 2001 to 2004. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science in Elementary Education from The City College of New York from 2002 to 2007. To further enhance their expertise, Jerrill pursued a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration at The College of Saint Rose in 2007. Jerrill Maurice also holds several certifications, including New Jersey Principal, NY State School Based Leader, NY State School District Leader, and NY State Common Branches (K-6) Elementary Education.
