Christa Lowry has extensive experience in municipal governance, currently serving as Mayor of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills since December 2014 and as a Councillor since the same time. In addition, Christa Lowry has held the position of Warden at Lanark County since December 2018 and serves as a Councillor for the same county. Christa Lowry is actively involved in multiple boards, including as a Director at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association, Mississippi River Power Corporation, Ottawa River Power, and Lanark Transportation Association. Christa Lowry's educational background includes a Bachelor of Music from McGill University and multiple master's degrees in music from Université Laval, along with an Advanced Certificate in Performance from the University of Toronto.
