Heather van Haaften has a extensive and diverse work experience in the creative and design fields. Heather started their career as an Art Director at Jacobs and Gerber Advertising Agency, where they created on-air promotion for CBS TV and trade ads for Paramount TV shows. Heather then became a Design Director On Air Promotion at RTL Television, overseeing a team of broadcast designers and delivering graphic solutions for on-air promos. Heather later worked as a Design Director On/Off Air at Onyx Music Network, directing off-air ad campaigns and creating the network's re-design.
In 2000, Heather founded their own company, HVH Creative Design, where they provided full design and branding services for clients such as Klasky-Chupo/Style Network and Deutsche Welle TV Network. Heather then joined HSN as the Director On Air Design & Video Promotion, where they provided strategic oversight and lead creative execution for on-air design and promotion activities. Heather also had a role as an Associate Creative Director at Walker Brands, an advertising/communications firm, where they were responsible for the agency's creative branding product.
Moving forward, Heather served as the VP, Creative at Triad Digital Media, leading and managing the development of creative assets for online solutions for Fortune 100 companies. Heather then worked as a Creative Director at Lunchbox, building and managing a world-class creative team that served top-tier brands across various industries.
Heather's expertise in managing creative teams and driving online creative development led their to their role as a Creative Director at Newegg, where they directed the creative and video team and won online marketing platforms for major brands like Intel, Samsung, and Microsoft. Currently, Heather is the Director of Video at Lamps Plus, the largest lighting retailer in the nation, where they oversee video production and ensures brand consistency across all marketing channels.
Heather van Haaften has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design from Otis College of Art and Design. Heather also attended the Art Center 3 x 3 Lecture, although no degree or field of study is specified for this particular experience.
