John Beach is a Senior Process Engineer at Lam Research since January 2018, specializing in dielectric plasma etching and new materials development for lithography, and conducting design-of-experiments for process engineering research. Additionally, John Beach is a PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, engaged in synthesizing metal alloys and performing various characterizations, while also serving as a lab safety officer. Previous experience includes positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis, where mineral synthesis for carbon sequestration was conducted, and as a Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on Dye Sensitized Solar cells. John Beach holds a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
