Michelle Perkins is a seasoned educational professional with a diverse background in teaching and administrative roles within various school districts. Currently serving as the Coordinator of Educational Services at Lakeside Union School District since September 2022, Michelle's prior experience includes positions as Vice Principal at San Diego Unified School District and Coordinator of School Transformation for High School Literacy at Partnership for Los Angeles Schools. Additional roles encompass serving as a Language Specialist at Oakland Unified School District, English Learner Program Coordinator and ESL Classroom Teacher at San Diego Unified School District, and Adjunct Instructor at Cuyamaca College. Michelle began the educational career at Pacific View Charter School and San Diego Unified School District, advancing through positions that emphasize reading, literacy, and educational transformation. Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from SDSU and a Bachelor’s degree in History from UC San Diego.
