David Buerger serves as the Director of Community Safety at Lakeside School since March 2023, overseeing safety and security across three campuses in Seattle. Prior to this role, David was the Security and Safety Manager at The Museum of Flight from January 2021 to March 2023, where responsibilities included managing a large security team and enhancing disaster preparedness. David was also the Founding Director of Safety and Security at Bullis School from August 2013 to January 2021, focusing on emergency response and campus security for a K-12 institution. David's extensive experience in law enforcement includes serving as a Police Captain for the City of Greenbelt, Maryland, from August 1985 to February 2011, where a variety of management and community engagement initiatives were implemented. David holds a Master's of Science in Human Resource Management and additional certifications from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
