Rebekah Street Karnes has a diverse work experience in event planning and management. Rebekah is currently the Director of Internal Events at Lakeshore Learning Materials since 2023. Previously, they worked as an Events Manager at JLL from 2022 to 2023. Rebekah also served as a Senior Event Planner at Hines from 2017 to 2022, where they were responsible for various event-related tasks such as planning, on-site management, team leading, staff training, and vendor management. Before that, they worked as a Tradeshow & Events Coordinator at Epson America Inc. from 2014 to 2017, and as a Lead Event Planner at Plan Ahead Events in 2014. Rebekah has also gained experience in event management through internships at various organizations, including Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and The Fine Art of Events. In addition, they have previous work experience at The Walt Disney Company and Judson University.

Rebekah Street Karnes attended Judson University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Business. In 2010, they also studied humanities/humanistic studies at Geneva College Rome, Italy. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Fundamentals of Waterfall Project Management from the Project Management Institute in 2023 and various leadership and management certifications from LinkedIn in 2021. Rebekah also holds certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR and AED from the American Red Cross in 2019 and Cvent Event Management Professional from Cvent in 2017.
