Trisha Cheney has over two decades of experience in marine resource management and real estate, currently serving as an Association Broker at Lakepoint Real Estate in Belgrade Lakes, Maine, specializing in lakefront properties since October 2017. Prior to this role, Trisha held various positions with the State of Maine, including Fisheries Management Coordinator, overseeing the scallop and sea urchin fisheries, and developing management plans and budgets for marine resources. Trisha's earlier experience includes roles at the Maine State Department of Marine Resources as Resource Scientist I and Marine Resource Scientist I, where responsibilities included coordinating fish ageing, surveying, and stakeholder engagement. Trisha's background also includes research positions focused on marine biology and fisheries science at organizations such as the Gulf of Maine Research Institute and Dalhousie University, along with a solid educational foundation featuring a Masterā€™s in Transboundary Fisheries Management and a Bachelor's in Marine Biology & Biochemistry.
