Michael Dohan is an Associate Professor (Information Systems) at Lakehead University since September 2012. Michael also serves as the Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research (CIER) at Lakehead University since May 2017. In addition, they work as an Adjunct Teaching Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute starting from December 2022. Previously, they worked as an Organizer at Startup Weekend from September 2014 to March 2016. Before that, they held the position of a Contract Lecturer at Lakehead University from September 2007 to April 2010. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Web Developer at Dougallmedia from 2000 to 2010 and as a Senior Application Developer at Canusa Information Systems from July 2003 to July 2005. Michael Dohan obtained a Diploma of Business in Computer Programmer Analyst from Confederation College in the years 1997 to 2000. Later, they pursued an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems from Lakehead University from 2004 to 2006, and a Masters of Science in Management from the same institution from 2006 to 2008. Continuing their education, Michael completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration (Information Systems) at McMaster University from an unspecified start year to 2017. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications including "LFS171x: Introduction to Hyperledger Blockchain Technologies" from LinuxFoundationX, "Mendix Rapid Developer" from Mendix, "Enactus Canada John Dobson Fellow" from Enactus Canada, and "Basics of Design Research" and "SAP Leonardo Design-Led Engagements Demystified" from SAP.
