Ben Avery GAICD is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in management accounting and senior finance roles. Currently serving as Management Accountant at Lake Macquarie City Council since July 2021, Ben previously held positions such as Senior Accountant at Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation and Commercial Manager at Ramsay Health Care, where responsibilities included financial management and administration. As a Non-Executive Director at WEA Hunter from 2011 to 2015, Ben contributed as Deputy Chairman and an Executive Advisory Board Member. Additionally, Ben served as Business and Finance Manager at New Start Rehabilitation and began the career as an Accountant at McCosker Partners. Ben holds a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and dual Bachelor degrees in Business and Commerce from the University of Newcastle, alongside a High School Certificate from Hunter School of the Performing Arts.
