Michael Stewart is an experienced law enforcement professional and attorney with a robust background in criminal investigations. Serving as the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division at the Lake County Sheriffs Department since April 2005, Michael has demonstrated strong leadership and investigative skills. Prior to this role, Michael practiced law at Stracci Law Group from May 2015 to August 2017, transitioning from a law clerk to a full-time associate attorney. Michael's law enforcement career began at the Hobart Police Department, where Michael served as a police officer from October 2000 to April 2005 while also instructing defensive tactics. Michael holds a Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from St. Joseph's College (IN).
