Deborah Boness is an accomplished information technology professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Lake County Forest Preserve District since August 2010, Deborah leads cross-functional teams in the planning, implementation, and support of IT systems while developing long-term goals and managing budgets. Prior to this role, Deborah held the position of Technical Director at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, defining and implementing the university's technical vision. Deborah's previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Network Services and Telecommunications at Gannett Healthcare Group, where responsibilities covered strategic planning and enterprise technology solutions. Early career roles involved network and systems management, with notable contributions to HIPAA compliance and network maintenance. Deborah holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Applied Information Systems/Telecommunications and Business Information Management, respectively.
