Chet Thompson has a diverse work experience in the plastics industry. Chet started their career at Plaskolite Inc in 1991 as a Sales Representative, a role they held until 1996. Chet then joined ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, AIN Plastics Division in 1996 where they worked in sales until 2001. In 2001, Chet joined Laird Plastics as a Manager, and they have been with the company ever since.

Chet Thompson began their education history in 1993 when they attended Columbus State Community College. During their time there, from 1993 to 1995, they pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management, ultimately earning an Associate's degree. Chet then took a break from their educational pursuits before enrolling at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they focused on studying Business Administration and Management, without specifying a particular degree.
