Peter Stopforth CEng MICE is an accomplished Project Engineer with extensive experience in the civil engineering sector, currently working at Laing O'Rourke since June 2021. Previously, Peter served as Chief Engineer at Sir Robert McAlpine, overseeing significant projects including an £85 million residential development and a £43 million bridge construction aimed at improving traffic flow on the M6. With a solid foundation established at Laing O'Rourke from January 2014 to June 2021, Peter contributed to various high-profile projects including water treatment works and healthcare facilities. Additional experience includes roles at Black & Veatch, Morgan Sindall, MJ Gleeson, and Daniel Contractors Ltd. Peter holds a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool and has been recognized as a Chartered Engineer by the Institution of Civil Engineers.
