Michael Martinez is an experienced professional in the creative industries, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member at Portland State University since January 2024, where strategic insights are provided for curriculum development and career preparation. Michael has been a Media Services Specialist and Technician at LAIKA Studios since August 2021, and previously held roles as Art Director and Senior Editor at CJ 4DPLEX from September 2016 to August 2021. Additionally, Michael served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Norco College from 2013 to 2016, teaching courses in voice acting, sound design, and Avid Pro Tools certification. Early career experience includes a role as a Recording Studio Intern at Cartoon Network Studios in 2010 and a position as a Sales Floor Associate at ACE Hardware from 2006 to 2016. Michael holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production with an emphasis on Sound Design from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Visual Culture from the University of California, Riverside.
