Joy Smith has extensive experience in the education and consulting sectors, currently serving as the PEIMS Coordinator at Lago Vista ISD since March 2013 while also providing independent consulting services for Texas public schools through JS Consulting Services since June 2008. As the owner of Joy Peppers, a successful line of award-winning jalapeno products, Joy Smith has demonstrated entrepreneurial skills. Previous work includes serving as a licensed agent for US Health Advisors and as a Student Data Service Consultant at Region 13 Education Service Center, where recognition as a statewide expert in building master schedules was achieved. Joy Smith holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction/Instructional Technology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas McCombs School of Business.
