Kelly (Switzer) Backer is an experienced marketing and sales professional with a robust background in customer development and brand management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Customer Development at Lactalis Canada since February 2024, Kelly previously held the position of Vice President of Marketing & Category Development at Wonderbrands from January 2022 to February 2024. In this role, accountability included leading the Canadian packaged bread business across various marketing disciplines and securing substantial shelf space with Walmart Canada. Prior experiences encompass significant roles at Weston Foods, including Director of Sales for McDonald's & Starbucks and Business Unit Director for the North American cake business, as well as strategic positions at McCain Foods and NielsenIQ. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Wilfrid Laurier University and is furthering expertise with a Digital Marketing certification from Columbia University.
